Georgie and/on the IRT

Ms Thal,
Thanks so much!

Here's the track you couldn't play. It's an embedded video of "Georgie & the I.R.T." from my Smithsonian CD. It's not public, only you can access it so it won't be pirated or put up on youtube. There are 2 guitars throughout, and the "Mystery Collaborator's" voice appears at about the 1:45 mark.

If Barry (who did collaborate on "Way Down In Lubyanka Prison") nixed himself - that leaves the most likely candidates as Roy Berkeley -or-Eric Von Schmidt (To my ear, Roy's voice doesn't sound that 'elderly' as the voice here - And Eric's range is a little closer - but not a match). To my limited knowledge, it's probably not Roy Block or Kenny Goldstein, because of the additional guitar. If you think you can identify any accompanying player/vocalist, I'll be sure to pass it along to Elijah Wald (who lamented the fact no one thought to ask or figure it out prior to the writing of thew liner notes on that upcoming "Down in Washington Square" collection).
